Plexi 50W

Another legendary circuit. While this circuit became famous for it's edgier sound and higher gain that Hendrix put to good use and made famous, the Plexi circuit still has very usable clean tones that are similar to the JTM45 but a little edgier.  The clean sounds are very similar, probably indentical really, considering it was a circuit that he used a lot, to Hendrix's clean sound.  As a really hot guitar playing friend of mine calls it - with a little hair!  The solid state rectifier produces a tighter response and bottom end than the JTM45 while the hotter preamp stages drive the 2 x EL34's into higher gain to produce the legendary and classic Marshall Plexi tone. The amp features highest quality caps, resistors and transformers throughout with point to point wiring, a turret circuit board and a couple of simple wiring mods that greatly improve the stability of the amp. Available in Bass or Lead versions.
