CLASS A 10W PLEXI
Channel 1 is very similar to a Tweed Champ..fat, warm, smooth breakup that get's raunchy and raw when cranked but with double the output and more warmth and richness than the Champ. Dial up the volume to get rich overdriven class A tones. Channel 2 starts off where channel 1 finishes, it's dirty... spitting and snarling right from the start! At halfway you start getting screaming and roaring Plexi like tones that keep saturating as you dial... You'd be surfprised how loud Class A 10W gets when it's fully cranked. This amp rocks.... snarling like a classic Marshall Plexi... but in Class A for even richer tones and harmonics! A couple of years ago at the Byron Blues Festival we set Ash up with the 5W on one side and the 10W on the other side and blew the walls off the giant MOJO tent! The punters wouldn't have believed they were listening to 5 and 10 watt amps! It was great fun! Big sounds from little boxes! This amp also sounds really good with acoustic guitars due to the class A not cancelling any of the harmonics. The amp features highest quality caps, resistors and transformers throughout with point to point wiring and a turret circuit board.
