Hit the Road - Latest models light years ahead of previous designs
Recent improvements to the latest models has shifted this well proven design into new levels of performance.
This model is the result of over 35 years of hunting down some of the planet's most challenging waves. Originating back in the 70's in the powerful Cronulla reef breaks of Voodoo, Shark Island and Cronulla Point, early trips to Hawaii’s North Shore developed the design's ability to handle large and faster moving pieces of ocean. But it was through spending extended periods in the long winding, barrels of the remote North West Australian desert and Indonesia’s 13,000 islands that they really came into their own.
The recent improvements include a faster entry rocker that allows higher planing speeds while also improving the board's paddling capabilities to get into and over the edge of larger faces, while the new single into double concaves and advanced tail rockers has boosted their acceleration and made turning them easier than ever.
The new quads versions are amazingly fast and responsive. My 7'3" quad absolutely flies across larger faces and around long sections and yet still turns like a shortboard!

Feedback
“I found myself hanging in the lip and taking a bigger drop than I ever imagined I would see in real life. And the board just slotted right in and I went down, around, up, inside and trimmed as I "casually" pumped myself along at incredible speed for probably 50 metres and then I was on the face and doing big driving curves, sending spray over the back and just flying along. I paddled back what seemed like a kilometer and received several compliments from the crew. Only got two more waves that session but in every case the HTR was rock steady, hung in perfectly where it needed to, and was really, really fast. So in summary, everything was great, the trip was fantastic, the boards are perfect. Thank you so much.” Anthony Nov 2006
